Precision Deep Drawn Metal Stamping of Brass Connectors

The nickel plated brass connector shown here is used in a BNC connector or RF connector for a coaxial cable. Measuring .372" in length, with an O.D. of .480" and an I.D. of .280", it was produced on our 312 Platarg transfer press.

To maintain the required tolerances of +.002"/-.000", several quality control processes were applied; dimensional inspections included standard gauges, custom gauges, an optical comparator, as well as visual Inspection. The finished product was nickel plated and delivered to our customer in Morrisburg, Pennsylvania; we produce 850,000 of these parts annually.
